-Open the folder. Go to Tools&gt;folder options&gt;view

-select &quot;Show hidden files and folder&quot; and than untick &quot;hide protected operating system files (Recommended)&quot;

-Now you'll see desktop.ini from the folder. If you still don't find it, right click the folder, go to properties&gt;customize. And then go to &quot;Change icon&quot; and select the default icon. And thn press ok. Now you'll see desktop.ini for sure.
